CAPS Tutoring in The Parks

CAPS tutoring focuses on content mastery aligned directly with the curriculum your child learns at school, combined with exam technique and structured revision. A CAPS tutor works through school-aligned content with your child, helps them understand how marks are awarded in different question types, and uses past papers and memos to build confidence in answering under exam conditions. The aim is steady progress in understanding and consistency in applying that knowledge to test situations.

Tutor Doctor The Parks supports CAPS Mathematics and Mathematical Literacy, English (HL and FAL), Afrikaans (HL and FAL), Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Accounting, Business Studies, Economics, Geography, History, and Life Orientation. One-to-one CAPS tutoring is available from Foundation Phase through to Grade 12 Matric, with focused support for students preparing for Prelims and final NSC exams.

The process begins with an initial one-to-one consultation where we listen to both you and your child to understand their grade, subjects, learning style, personality, and goals. Yes. Exam anxiety is common, and structured CAPS tutoring can help ease it. A CAPS tutor works with your student to break down syllabus content into manageable steps, practise past papers systematically, and build familiarity with exam format and question types. Regular feedback and consistent progress create a sense of readiness. By the time Prelims or final NSC exams arrive, your student has practised the material thoroughly and knows what to expect, which naturally builds confidence.

We offer both. In-home CAPS tutoring is available across The Parks, Rosebank, Linden, and surrounding areas, bringing personalised support directly to your home. Choose whichever suits your family’s routine and your student’s learning style best.

After each session, families receive feedback on what was covered, progress made, and the next focus areas. A CAPS tutor monitors progress through classwork, school assessments, past paper practice, and your student’s confidence levels. The tutoring plan is adjusted regularly based on what’s working and where your student needs additional support. This ongoing communication ensures you always know where your student stands and what comes next.

We begin with an initial conversation with you and your student to understand their grade, subjects, goals, and learning style. This helps us match your student with a suitable CAPS tutor who understands their needs. Once matched, one-to-one tutoring begins, and we maintain regular communication with you about progress and next steps. The process is straightforward and focused on building a strong fit for your student.
